Foto Friday: Human Scrabble

So today’s Foto Friday photo is from a few years back while i was at University of Michigan-Flint, when I put on one of my most unique events of my career thus far: Human Scrabble!

We put the FREE Scrabble shirts out in our Student Organization Center that morning and students each got a shirt with a letter and a list of words they could make. (and of course it had our new logo on the back of them…hello branding!) Their goal was to create as many words from the list with other students. To get credit, they could come in to have their photo taken or take a photo and text/Tweet it to the Student Life Office with a list of students names in the photo. Of course we had prizes for a few categories, but the shirts were the most popular item beyond the prizes that day. 🙂 Needless to say we got tons of submissions AND we got many other words we didn’t think of, including names of student organizations, offices and this gem that they created for me while I was at a meeting! 🙂

Happy Friday!

Until next time

Peace,Love and Pandas!

I am currently the Assistant Director of Student Life for Registered Student Organizations and Late-Night Programming at Michigan State University. After earning my B.A. from the University of Michigan-Flint, I entered the Student Affairs profession. After a few years in the field, I returned to school and earned my M.A. in Educational Leadership-Higher Education Student Affairs from Eastern Michigan University. In my spare time I blog about my thoughts and musings on current issues in higher education, student affairs, digital worlds, identity development and general life inspirations and observations. I also volunteer a lot for my fraternity and multiple regional and national professional associations.
